Music and fashion are so heavily linked and intertwined that anything which can combine the two elements is immediately accepted and put forward as a great design but when you have the cutting edge design and various combinations of images that make up the Cool stars t-shirt, then it would take a heart of glass to deny that this is a fantastic looking t-shirt.
At the center of the t-shirt is an old school cassette player that is forever associated with the late 1970s and early 1980s as so many great musical elements combined to create new strands of music. The image of Debbie Harry from Blondie rapping on Rapture whilst hanging out on the street with the kids who would normally be listening to the Sugarhill Gang or the early pioneers of rap music indicated that this period was a vibrant and exciting time to be alive and this t-shirt manages to capture this essence perfectly and places the listener back into those days of street parties and buffalo girls undertaking double Dutch jumps on their skipping ropes.
Its hard to understate how important the music of this era was in creating history and acting as the backdrop to many of the things that have since happened and the trend for retro designs and logos owes a lot to the tremendous and groundbreaking work that was done in the era.
The designs of the stars are as equally funky with the repeating lines and bursts creating a sense of vintage retro which ties in with the ghetto-blaster and adds to the sense of fun and hip-hops early moments. It is not often that a t-shirt that contains so few colors manages to capture so much vibrancy and spirit but this t-shirt manages to encapsulate a whole generation of good times and party vibes.
The addition of the legs and funky trainers merely adds another layer of retro chic to the overall design and this t-shirt would appeal to those who lived through the era the first time and want to relive their youth or for the new generation who appreciate the times that have gone before and want to have some of that excitement for themselves. The purple and red of the t-shirt goes extremely well together with an almost seamless blending of the colors at some point and this goes well with the rest of the white t-shirt in creating an overall look that is stylish yet understated.
